First off, I'm not actually going to post my prediction here. There are no spoilers ahead.
Anyway, because I'm on the internet, I've seen a few fan theories about The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. However, there was one particular thing that I spotted in TFA that seemed like... it might have been a deliberate choice to obscure what as really going on, which I've not seen anyone else bring up. (I mean, someone might have done, but I've not gone searching to see if anyone has.) So, I have a prediction that, at some point in TLJ we will learn something that puts a specific thing we learned in TFA in a whole new light.
Because I know quite a few people try really hard to stay away from not just spoilers, but also from fan predictions that could change the way you might think about upcoming films, I'm not going to write down my prediction here. But I still want to commit to the prediction ahead of time, so that if it turns out to be true I can be smug about it.
So, I have written the prediction down, in a file on my computer. What I'm going to post here is the cryptographic hash of that file, so that I can later (sometime in January?) reveal the prediction and show that it is the prediction I committed to here.
(Of course, if you don't trust me, of even if you do but would like to properly verify my claim, you should make a copy of the hash value I post, so that you can tell if I come back and edit the hash value later to be that of a different prediction.)
