Now, my prediction has not been disproved, but part of my prediction was that the twist I thought up would be revealed in The Last Jedi. Because that sort of thing tends to happen in the second part of a trilogy. As that did not happen, I'm happy calling this a failed prediction.
Anyway... here is the text of the prediction I made, between (not including) the lines:

Kylo Ren didn't kill Han Solo.
Kylo Ren and Han Solo are on the walkway, together. Kylo Ren is holding his switched-off lightsaber, pointed towards Han, and Han is also has his hands on the lightsaber and Kylo's hands. They both pause, looking agonizingly into each other's eyes. The lightsaber switches on, impaling Han, who falls off the walkway to his death.
I just don't think Kylo switched the lightsaber on. I think Han did it.
I think Kylo is in deep cover to infiltrate the First Order/Snoke/the Sith. He's got some dark side points on his sheet, but so did Luke (his mentor?), and Luke knows a thing or two about not only skirting the dark side, but about pulling people back from it (Anakin).
Kylo is in a position to "prove" his dark-sidedness there on the walkway with Han, in front of witnesses. He knows it. Han knows it. But he can't bring himself to do it. The thing is, Han sees that Kylo is not just in a position where he *can* kill him, he's in a position where he *must* kill him or blow his cover. But he also sees that Kylo can't do it, and that it's not fair to even ask Kylo to do it. So Han decides to be the big damn hero one last time, switching the lightsaber on himself, his hands out of camerashot, and hidden from the view of everyone else watching by their bodies and the distance.
